Banco de Portugal forecasts 3.1% inflation this year
The central bank projects inflation will reach 3.1% in 2026, before slowing to 2.4% in 2027 and 2.0% in 2028. The bank attributes the future decline to fading energy shocks and moderated labour costs, while maintaining its overall outlook for employment and moderate economic growth.
