Association denounces paralysis of affordable rental scheme due to missing ministerial order
The new Simplified Affordable Rental Scheme (RSAA), which took effect on September 1, remains unregulated because a required ministerial order has not been published. Without this order, landlords do not know the maximum rent limits required to qualify for the scheme, blocking new contracts and the associated IRS and IRC tax exemptions.
Why it mattersIf you are a landlord or investor looking to rent properties under the affordable rental scheme, you cannot sign qualifying contracts or access tax exemptions until the government publishes the missing rent limits.
