Arouca Secondary School pavilion prepared for rotating rest of 450 emergency workers fighting wildfire

The Arouca municipality has set up the local secondary school's gym to provide rest and hygiene facilities for over 450 emergency personnel fighting an active wildfire that began on Monday evening. Operations are expected to continue through Wednesday, with the fire currently presenting four active fronts and forcing the closure of local roads, including the Estrada Municipal between Ponte de Telhe and Rio de Frades, and the Estrada dos Militares between Moldes and Cabreiros.
