After the 3-euro fee, non-EU orders will face a new tax starting in November
A new processing fee for goods ordered directly from countries outside the European Union will take effect by November 1, as part of broader customs reforms. This is in addition to the 3-euro-per-category tax on non-EU purchases under 150 euros that has been in place since July 1.
Why it mattersIf you frequently order goods from outside the EU, be prepared for increased costs, as this new processing fee applies to the sellers of goods imported into the EU.
