Aeroplanes rerouted in Lisbon to reduce noise for 35,000 inhabitants

The National Civil Aviation Authority has approved a plan to adjust flight takeoff routes at Humberto Delgado Airport by the end of 2026. This change shifts routes westward to reduce noise exposure for approximately 35,000 residents in the municipalities of Loures and Vila Franca de Xira, and includes 10 million euros in funding for residential acoustic insulation between 2026 and 2027.
