700 hectares have burned in Arouca since Monday night
A wildfire that began on Monday night, 2026-08-17, has consumed approximately 700 hectares of forest with three active fronts. Authorities have restricted traffic on the road between Telhe and Covêlo de Paivó; while nearby villages are not currently in danger, emergency services remain positioned there as a precaution.
