20-euro pass arrives in Lisbon and Porto areas in September

The Prime Minister announced that the 20-euro 'Green Pass' for public transport will be extended to urban transit within the Lisbon and Porto metropolitan areas starting in early September. This pass, currently valid for nationwide rail travel (excluding Alfa Pendular), will allow users to travel by train within these metropolitan areas for a fixed monthly cost of 20 euros.

Why it mattersIf you commute within the Lisbon or Porto metropolitan areas, you will be able to travel by train for a fixed monthly cost of 20 euros starting in early September, significantly reducing potential transport expenses.
