Young Portuguese people prefer paying for an Uber over driving under the influence of alcohol

A survey of 1,000 residents aged 18 to 29, conducted by the Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics, indicates that over half of Generation Z uses ride-hailing services (TVDE) to avoid driving after consuming alcohol. The study highlights that young adults increasingly view these services as a safe alternative to personal vehicle ownership, citing features like real-time tracking and trip sharing as key factors for their preference.
