Waste management fee exemption extended until the end of the year
The government has extended the exemption from the Waste Management Fee (TGR) for waste resulting from the damage caused by Storm Kristin. The extension is valid until December 31, 2026, and covers costs related to cleanup, recovery, and reconstruction operations in affected municipalities.
Why it mattersIf you live in a municipality affected by Storm Kristin, this measure prevents additional waste management costs from being passed on to you via your water bill through the end of the year.
