Unions invoke 'cost of living' to demand public sector pay rises above those planned
While a multi-year agreement currently mandates pay increases between 2.3% and 6.5% (with a minimum floor of 60.52 euros per month), public administration unions are now demanding higher raises. The proposed demands from different unions range from a minimum of 5% for all staff to increases of 15% or 150 euros, with the meal allowance also being a central point of negotiation.
