Students without a school place: Schools could be reinforced with containers
The Ministry of Education has increased class sizes in Lisbon to accommodate approximately 600 students who were initially without a place, and is now considering using modular classrooms (containers) as a solution for capacity shortages. The government attributes the current pressure on school places to demographic growth, specifically citing the number of immigrants in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area.
