Solving the housing crisis

Several municipalities are implementing new housing schemes, including 743 units planned for Lagoa, 150 public homes in Loulé, and student housing projects in Cascais with rents between 91.44 and 350 euros. Nationally, the government aims to encourage the rental of up to 300,000 vacant properties through tax and rental law reforms, while the European Investment Bank has approved a 300 million euro loan to support new construction and rehabilitation.
