Public transport prices in Portugal to be updated

The Mobility and Transport Authority (AMT) has set a maximum fare adjustment rate of 2.66% for public transport services for 2027. This figure represents the maximum increase permitted; transport operators are not required to raise prices and may choose to apply lower adjustments or none at all.

Santa Casa confirmed that it accepts both national debit and credit cards linked via MB WAY to top up the 'Cartão de Jogador'. The institution maintains that because funds are settled immediately at the time of the transaction, this does not violate the legal prohibition against gambling on credit.
