Pre-hospital emergency relief reaches 581 ambulances from all fire departments for the first time
A total of 64 new ambulances have been integrated into the Integrated Medical Emergency System (SIEM) as of today, October 1, 2026. This brings the total number of fire department emergency vehicles operating within the national system to 581, following new protocols signed with the INEM.
Why it mattersThe integration of these ambulances increases the capacity and availability of the pre-hospital emergency network across the country, potentially improving response times for emergency care.
