Portugal house prices show surprising regional changes
New data from Imovirtual shows national average advertised property prices held steady at 425,000 euros in October, a 2.3% decrease from last year, while average advertised rents fell 0.8% annually to 1,290 euros. However, regional trends vary significantly: advertised prices in Porto dropped 11.6% to 380,000 euros, while Lisbon remains the most expensive at 610,000 euros. Conversely, rental markets in Beja and Évora saw annual increases of 29.6% and 14.3% respectively, and Faro district property prices rose 2.7% to 575,000 euros.
