Portugal has more dentists per capita than recommended, but oral health access remains difficult

Over the past two decades, the number of registered dentists in Portugal has nearly tripled. The head of the dentists' order suggests that the country could use this surplus to create special training positions for dentists to retrain as medical doctors.
