Portugal cuts income tax rates in latest fiscal adjustment
The Council of Ministers approved a personal income tax (IRS) reduction for the first six tax brackets, with cuts ranging from 0.3 to 1 percentage point. The change will take effect starting with November's tax withholding and will also apply to the year-end Christmas bonus.
Why it mattersIf you are a salaried employee in Portugal, you will see a small reduction in the income tax withheld from your November salary and Christmas bonus.
