Platform “We Can’t Take it Anymore” serves minister with eviction notice
The government's proposed rental reforms, currently under parliamentary discussion, include allowing eviction proceedings after two months of rent arrears (down from three), removing the 2% cap on new contract rent increases for most tenants, and allowing landlords to demand three months' security deposit instead of two. These changes are intended to encourage landlords to place properties on the moderate rental market, though the current definition of 'moderate' rent reaches up to 2,300 euros per month.
