Parliament approves proposals to reform administrative justice

Parliament has approved the initial stage of five legislative proposals to reform administrative and tax courts, including the creation of specialized courts for immigration and international protection. The reforms also introduce a simplified process for legal actions up to 15,000 euros and mandate that legal challenges (intimações) against AIMA be filed in the tribunal of the resident's area. Other measures include the establishment of alternative dispute resolution centers for cases against the state and a simplified administrative procedure for claiming civil liability damages from the State.
