Owner of rare skin disease drug has not yet requested to sell in Portugal

The Ministry of Health and the Infarmed regulatory body recently met with the company that owns a medication for a rare skin disease, but the firm has not yet submitted a formal request for its financing or commercialization in Portugal.

Asian hornet most active at this time of year: what to do in case of a sting or if you find a nest?

The Asian hornet (Vespa velutina) is now present throughout Portugal, with over 5,000 nests destroyed by the end of July this year. The species reaches peak activity in late summer and early autumn, when nests are at their largest. If stung, wash the area with soap and water and apply a cold compress; if you experience breathing difficulties, facial swelling, or dizziness, seek medical attention immediately via 112. Report any sightings of nests or individuals to help authorities track the species.
