Online channel launched to stop illicit sharing of photos and videos of minors
The National Data Protection Commission (CNPD) has launched a new priority online channel for reporting the illicit sharing or unauthorized access to personal data of minors, including photos and videos. The channel, which became available on Tuesday, allows children, young people, and any citizen to report sensitive content, unauthorized image/sound recording, or targeted advertising to minors, enabling the CNPD to order the immediate removal of content as a precautionary measure.
Why it mattersIf you discover that private or sensitive content involving a minor is being shared online without consent, you can now use this direct, urgent reporting channel on the CNPD website to request its immediate removal.
