Novo Nordisk says it has a new drug that allows for average weight loss of 25% in women
Novo Nordisk has announced clinical trial results for a new experimental weight loss and diabetes medication, CagriSema, which shows an average body weight reduction of 22.7% across study participants (25% in women) over 68 weeks. The drug is currently under review by the US FDA with approval expected in the fourth quarter of 2026; the company plans to seek European Medicines Agency (EMA) approval only after US authorization is secured.
