NGO calls for structured, comprehensive plan to control rise in numbers of wild boar

Environmental NGO Quercus has criticized the government's pilot scheme to cull wild boars, describing the incentive-based payment system as insufficient. The government's plan intends to offer payments of 50 euros per male and 70 euros per female culled across 60 districts to address population growth and related damage to crops and infrastructure.
