Movement demands more public investment in Education

The teacher movement 'Missão Escola Pública' (MEP) has issued a six-page position paper calling for increased public investment to combat declining student performance. Their proposals include revising curricula, implementing new external evaluation weighting (20-30% across various school years), and reinstating four mandatory secondary school exams, while highlighting the critical, systemic shortage of teachers as the primary barrier to improvement.
