Montenegro invokes Sócrates to resist pressure for tax cuts and details support measures

The government approved a package including a 20-euro monthly national rail pass (excluding Alfa Pendular), a 25-cent maximum fuel discount (ISP), and a diesel subsidy of 10 cents per litre for specific sectors (transport, taxis, firefighters, and charities). Pensioners will receive a one-off bonus in December: 200 euros for those earning up to 537 euros, 150 euros for those between 537 and 1174 euros, and 100 euros for those between 1174 and 1611 euros. Additionally, IRS tax rates were lowered up to the 6th bracket.
