Mandatory voting for 134,797 Brazilians in Portugal

Over 134,000 Brazilians registered in Portugal are required to vote this Sunday, October 4, in the Brazilian presidential election. Polls are open from 08:00 to 17:00 at designated locations in Lisbon, Porto, and Faro. Voters must present an official Brazilian photo ID, though the Lisbon consulate will exceptionally accept official Portuguese photo IDs.

Why it mattersIf you are a Brazilian citizen registered to vote in Portugal, you are legally required to participate this Sunday or provide an official justification via the TSE website or 'e-Título' app to avoid penalties.
