House prices accelerate in 10 of the 24 most populous municipalities in the second quarter

Data from the National Statistics Institute (INE) for the second quarter of 2026 shows that house price growth accelerated in 10 of the 24 municipalities with over 100,000 inhabitants. While the national median price reached 2,445 euros per square metre, Lisbon (5,299 €/m2), Cascais (5,200 €/m2), and Oeiras (4,704 €/m2) remain the most expensive, with buyers based abroad consistently paying significantly higher median prices than domestic buyers.
