Hot weather warning extended to 11 districts
IPMA has issued yellow weather warnings for high temperatures across 11 mainland districts. Lisboa and Setúbal are under warning until 19:00 on Monday, September 21, while Viana do Castelo, Braga, Vila Real, Bragança, Porto, Aveiro, Coimbra, Leiria, and Santarém are under warning until 18:00 on Tuesday, September 22. Additionally, over 60 municipalities across the country are at maximum risk of rural fire.
Why it mattersWith extreme heat and high fire risk affecting most of the country, avoid activities that could spark a fire and take precautions against the heat, especially during the active warning periods.
