Heat. Several districts under yellow alert until Thursday
IPMA has issued yellow warnings for high temperatures across mainland Portugal, with varying end times depending on the district: Setúbal until 19:00 today; Porto, Santarém, Viana do Castelo, Lisboa, Leiria, Aveiro, Coimbra, and Braga until 18:00 Tuesday; Viseu, Évora, Castelo Branco, and Portalegre until 18:00 Wednesday; and Bragança, Guarda, and Vila Real until 05:00 Thursday. Over 60 municipalities across ten districts are also at maximum wildfire risk due to the heat.
Why it mattersIf you are in the affected districts, stay hydrated, avoid direct sun during the hottest hours, and be aware of the maximum wildfire-risk warnings in over 60 municipalities, which may restrict certain outdoor activities.
