Health inspectorate wants charges paid at hospital entrance and mandatory check-out to prevent unpaid bills
The IGAS health inspectorate has recommended that public hospitals (ULS) require the payment of user fees at the entrance of emergency departments for non-resident patients who cannot provide proof of health insurance or coverage. It also suggests implementing a mandatory check-out process for all emergency patients to ensure billing before they leave, and has requested that hospitals produce monthly reports on services provided to non-resident foreigners.
