Fuel prices soar with a record high for diesel

Starting this Monday, 2026-09-21, diesel is expected to rise by 7.5 cents and petrol by 6 cents per litre. This brings the estimated average price for diesel to 2.231 euros per litre and petrol to 2.125 euros, despite government reductions in the ISP tax. The government is also proposing to extend the current tax relief regime until December 31, 2026.
