Fuel consumption falls 10.3% in August and prices rise up to 6.4%

In August, diesel prices increased by 6.4% and simple 95 gasoline by 1.2%, while total road fuel consumption dropped by 10.3% compared to July. Despite the monthly consumption dip, year-on-year data shows a 2% increase in road fuel consumption and significant annual price hikes of 30.2% for diesel and 15.8% for gasoline. Estimates from the ACP and Anarec suggest fuel prices will decrease by approximately three cents per litre starting next week.
