Flu, Covid vaccinations heavily plugged
The national vaccination campaign for flu and Covid-19 begins today, September 30, 2026. Free flu vaccines are available at pharmacies for those aged 60–84 and those aged 18–59 with chronic conditions, while children aged 2–4 are also eligible for free vaccination via SNS centres and authorised providers. Vaccination for those aged 85 and over remains centralised at SNS health centres, and Covid-19 vaccination is recommended primarily for those aged 70 and over and vulnerable groups.
Why it mattersIf you are aged 60–84 or have chronic health conditions, you can now access free flu vaccines at pharmacies; if you are 85 or older, you must visit an SNS health centre for your vaccination.
