Firefighters' League concerned about the impact of INEM strike
The National Association of Firefighters (LBP) expressed concern regarding the upcoming INEM emergency technicians' strike scheduled for September 14 and 28. The strike, called by the STEPH union over organizational changes at the institute, could disrupt the emergency response system, where firefighters act as the primary first responders for roughly 90% of cases. The Minister of Health has stated that minimum services will be set if the strike is not suspended.
Why it mattersBecause firefighters provide the vast majority of pre-hospital emergency care, a strike at the INEM emergency coordination centers may result in significant delays or service disruptions when you call for urgent medical help on September 14 or 28.
