Fire in Portel fought by more than 300 operatives
A wildfire in the Monte da Lameira area of Portel (Évora district) is currently being fought by 312 personnel and 108 vehicles. The fire has four active fronts, but no homes are at risk and no injuries have been reported. The IP2 road is closed to traffic between Monte Trigo and Portel.
Why it mattersIf you are driving in the Alentejo region, expect road closures on the IP2 between Monte Trigo and Portel and avoid the area to allow emergency access.
