"Extreme drought" causes concern, but sudden floods are also possible

The Minister of Environment and Energy warned that while the North is currently facing extreme drought, the government is preparing for potential sudden flooding within a month or less. The ministry is monitoring dam capacity to manage water levels for both drought mitigation and flood prevention, while also managing waste treatment challenges and waste production increases across the country.
