European Parliament group concerned about gender self-determination bills

The European Parliament's LGBTIQ+ Intergroup has expressed concern over three pending bills in the Portuguese Parliament—proposed by the PSD, CDS, and Chega—which aim to modify or revoke the current 2018 law on gender self-determination. The proposed changes include reintroducing medical validation for legal gender changes and restricting access to puberty blockers and hormonal therapies for minors.
