EU citizens do not need to provide NIF and NISS for residency renewal in Portugal

AIMA has simplified the residency renewal process for European Union citizens and their family members by removing the mandatory requirement to provide Tax Identification Numbers (NIF) and Social Security Identification Numbers (NISS).

Why it mattersIf you are a citizen of an EU country or a family member residing in Portugal, your residency renewal process is now faster and requires less administrative documentation.
