Electoral Q&A for Brazilians in Portugal
On October 4, 134,797 registered Brazilian voters in Portugal can vote for the President and Vice-President. Voting is mandatory for literate Brazilians aged 18 to 70, including those abroad; those unable to vote must justify their absence via the TSE website or e-Título app. Voters must go to the polling station assigned by their regional consulate (Lisbon, Porto, or Faro) using their official Brazilian photo ID or, specifically in Lisbon, accepted Portuguese official photo documents.
Why it mattersIf you are a Brazilian resident registered to vote, you must head to your assigned polling station on October 4 between 08:00 and 17:00 to cast your vote for the presidency, or face the obligation to justify your absence.
