Digestive cancers among the most frequent oncological diseases: 'There are delays that can change your life!'
The Portuguese Society of Gastroenterology launched a national campaign for World Digestive Cancer Day to highlight the importance of prevention, screening, and early diagnosis. The initiative warns that persistent symptoms such as changes in bowel habits, blood in the stool, unexplained weight loss, and abdominal pain require medical evaluation, while lifestyle measures like a balanced diet and avoiding alcohol and tobacco help reduce risk.
