Debt of families, companies, and the State rises to 893 billion euros in August

The total debt of the non-financial sector—public administration, companies, and households—reached 892.8 billion euros in August, an increase of 3.6 billion euros compared to July. Public sector debt rose by 2.6 billion euros, driven by treasury deposits and household investments in government savings certificates, while private household debt increased by 1.3 billion euros, largely due to housing credit.
