Bragança district could receive a new VMER emergency medical vehicle

The Northeast Local Health Unit (ULS do Nordeste) is taking steps to install a second Medical Emergency and Resuscitation Vehicle (VMER) in the district, to be stationed in Mirandela. Currently, the district has only one VMER located in Bragança, and the new vehicle aims to improve pre-hospital emergency response times for more distant municipalities.

Why it mattersIf you live in the Bragança district, particularly in outer municipalities like Mirandela or Freixo de Espada à Cinta, emergency medical response times could improve if plans for the second VMER go ahead.
