Arganil, Poiares and Góis. Fire in resolution with more than 500 personnel still on the ground
The wildfire affecting Arganil, Vila Nova de Poiares and Góis is currently in the resolution phase with over 500 firefighters and equipment remaining on site. Separately, the weather institute has extended its hot weather warning to 11 mainland districts, with most warnings in effect until 18:00 on Tuesday, September 22.
Why it mattersIf you are in the vicinity of Arganil, Vila Nova de Poiares or Góis, remain cautious as fire crews are still working in the area; additionally, stay hydrated and avoid sun exposure during the ongoing hot weather warning covering much of the mainland.
