Algorithm places 161 medical interns, but errors spark distrust in the process
A new computer system for placing medical interns, launched by the Ministry of Health, has sparked complaints from doctors due to errors in the results released on 22 October. While the Central Administration of the Health System (ACSS) claims to have re-run the algorithm to resolve the issues, the Medical Association (Ordem dos Médicos) and the National Federation of Doctors (Fnam) are demanding formal clarifications regarding the process.
