AIMA: Ombudsman points to delays, errors, and lack of information in immigrant services

The Ombudsman's annual report highlights that 31% of the 15,342 complaints received by the office (4,756 citizens) were related to AIMA's operational failures in 2025. Key issues identified include lengthy residency application processing times, errors in document issuance, lack of clear communication, and difficulties in obtaining appointments, particularly affecting CPLP residency title holders.
