Emídio Guerreiro to chair the parliamentary inquiry committee on national exams

The Assembly of the Republic has finalized the composition of the 25-member parliamentary inquiry committee tasked with investigating the 2025 and 2026 national exam digital grading process. Led by PSD deputy Emídio Guerreiro, the committee has a 90-day mandate to examine political decisions and responsibilities regarding the system's reliability and its impact on students and access to higher education.

Cascais invests 1.8 million euros in scholarships

The municipality of Cascais is offering 1.8 million euros in higher education scholarships for the current academic year, supporting approximately 1,200 students. Applications are open until October 16, exclusively via the MyCascais platform, for students with tax residency in Cascais attending public, private, or cooperative higher education institutions. Scholarship values are 1,250 euros for students within the Lisbon Metropolitan Area and 1,750 euros for those studying elsewhere.
